2. Wing Sports Trg Day Sun 29 Jan
This trg day will be held at Mile End and is aimed at cdts who want to get into Wing teams for senior football and hockey, junior rugby and netball. If you want to attend and possibly get your Wing ‘Blue’ see the Sports Offr.
3. Target Rifle Shooting
This is a chance for all new cadets to fire the No.8 .22 rifle. The shoot will be in the evening starting at 1900hrs. You will need to report to 344 Sqn near Hammersmith Broadway. Instructions will be given nearer the time.
4. ATC Sunday- First Class Test Day Sun 5 Feb
Today is the ATC ‘birthday’. This will be a chance for existing recruits who missed out on last year’s first class test to train and complete their tests: Inspection, drill test, Weapon Handling Test on .22 rifle, written test on ATC and RAF, Communications test.
HALF TERM TRAINING AT 46F Mon 13 – Fri 17 Feb
Use some or all of your half term working towards your goals for ’06. We will running a NCO course, taking part in activities for your Service section of the Bronze Award, Duke of Edinburgh Scheme, flying at RAF Benson and .22 target rifle shooting. More details from OC nearer the time.
5. Sqn NCO Course Mon 13 – Tue 14 Feb
This non-residential course will cover leadership, drill Instruction and Instructional Technique over the first two days of half term. This course is compulsory for all NCOs to attend. In addition senior cadets who partly completed last year’s course may apply to attend. Nominations to 2i/c.
6. Sqn Shooting Day
We will spend today firing the No.8 .22 rifle and related activities, such as marksmanship principles, use of slings etc.
7. Air Experience Flying Thu 16 & Fri 17 Feb
This is a chance for cadets to experience flying in the Tutor Grob, the RAF’s two-seater primary trainer at RAF Benson. Each cadet gets a 25 min flight with a RAF Flying Instructor teaching you elementary flying skills including some acrobatics if you’ve got the stomach for it.

9. Sqn Sunday Parade Sun 12 Feb
This day will be spent on fitness and sports trg. All cdts will take part in the Sqn Fitness Test, bleep test and team games including football trg for next weekend.
10. Inter Sqn 5 –a- side Football Competition Sun 26 Feb
Our first chance in ’06 to take on the best and worst that London Wing can throw at us. Lets win some trophies and increase our net of Wing ‘Blues’.
11. Air Cadet Exams Mon 6 Mar
Leading, senior and staff cadet exams will be sat on this day.
12. Basic Campcraft Fri 10 – Sun 12 Mar
This camp will be for our newer cdts and will introduce them to living outdoors, map reading and orienteering, cooking outdoors, tent and shelter building, night exercise and much more…..The cost will be £15-00.
13. I’m An Air Cadet, Get Me Outta Of Here Fri 10 – Sun 12 Mar
This exercise will be held at a secret location, it will be an escape and evasion exercise. Only senior cdts with a good level of mental and physical fitness should apply. Cost £15-00.
14. Staff Development Course Fri 17 – Sun 19 Mar
This Wing run course is designed to development senior cdt NCOs towards service as an adult member of staff.
