Message from the Commanding Officer

Firstly, well done to everyone who contributed to the Presentation and Passing Out Parade. The event was excellent and every I spoke to thoroughly enjoyed the show and Parade. There were quite a number of proud parents and I was very proud of you all too. Well done to everyone.

Now that the summer training programme is over we need to turn our attention to what we do best: winning competitions and putting other Squadron in their place.

We have a busy season of competitions coming up and everyone must work together to succeed. It’s Up to All Of Us.

Sat 2 Sep Wing Swimming Comp (We are the defending champions)

Sun 24 Sep Wing Field Day Competitions in Aircraft Recognition, First Aid, Photographic,

and Drill.

Fri 29 Sep Inness Sword Competition against 33 Sqns in London in Obstacle Course,

Orienteering, Shooting, Forced march, Drill,

Sun 8 Oct Elworthy Comp Similar to Inness Sword comp but against the best Navy, Army

Marine and Air Cadet Sqns in the London & South East region.

In addition there are a few wing sport training sessions (2hrs) for your diary:

Sun 10 Sep, Sun 8 Oct, 22 Oct Junior Soccer and Hockey, Senior Rugby and Netball.

You’ll need to attend these sessions if you want to be selected for the Wing team and gain a ‘Wing Blue’.

I HAVE LEFT NEXT WEEK COMPLETELY FREE OF COMMITMENT. IF YOU ARE, OR WANT TO BE, PART OF A WINNING TEAM. PLEASE ATTEND THE SQN ON TUE 1300 – 1700 HRS IN SPORTS KIT.

I’D LIKE TO TRAIN FOR THE INNESS SWORD AND SWIMMING ON WED, THU & FRI.
