15. Wing Field Day Sun 24 Sep

On this day London Wing Sqns compete for the Annual Drill Competition and Aircraft Recognition, amongst other things. We haven’t competed in the Drill Comp for two years. It’s Up To All Of Us to get a winning team together. Drill is an essential skill; the level of proficiency at drill portrays a Sqns pride, moral and training efficiency. Poorly drilled troops don’t win wars or competitions for that matter.

16. Innes Sword Competition Fri 29 Sep – Sun 1 Oct

This is the ‘World Cup’ of competitions, it is the most keenly fought competition in the year. The winning Sqn is deemed to be the best in London Wing and will get the opportunity to go on and compete against the Army and Sea and Marine Cadet Forces in the Elworthy Competition the following weekend. The events include obstacle course, shooting, first aid, command task, orienteering and drill. We have a unmatched pedigree in winning the Elworthy seven times. Are you up to matching your predecessors achievements and prove that 46F is still the premier Sqn in London Wing.

17. Air Cadet Sports Courses

The Air Cadets run a comprehensive programme of sports courses aimed at getting young people qualified in sports training. If you wish to attend one of these courses, then booking early as possible will give you a better chance of getting that place. If interested please contact the Sqn Sports Offr, Mr Thompson.
